Tour of California -- Stage One
Juan José Haedo (Toyota-United Pro) was the surprise winner of stage one of the Tour of California, beating Olaf Pollack (T-Mobile) and Stuart O'Grady (CSC) into second and third, respectively, in the field sprint. Team TIAA-CREF rider Charles Bradley Huff finished an impressive fourth on the day, beating such notable riders as George Hincapie (Discovery Channel), Viktor Rapinski (Colavita Olive Oil-Sutter Home Wines), Alex Candelario (Jelly Belly), and Charles Dionne (Saunier Duval-Prodir), among others. I don't know what happened to sprinter Gordon Fraser (Health Net p/b Maxxis), but he finished 45th rather than in the top five (as usual).
